We are living in a period of time that Jesus and Biblical writers referred to as ‘The End’, ‘The Last Days’, ‘The Last Hour’ and the recent fulfilment of so much Biblical prophecy, as set out in other parts of this site, categorically illustrates this to be the case. As so much prophecy has been and is being fulfilled we must be nearing the end of them.
The ‘last days’ or ‘last hour’ or ‘end’ (end times) started with Jesus’ ascension to Heaven and continue, through a series of stages, until his physical return to Earth to begin his Millennial reign. However, although God has set a time limit on these days, we are not to know how long that period is, but are told to watch for the signs.
1 John: 2 v 18 – Dear children, this is the last hour…
2 Peter: 3 v 3 – First of all you must understand that in the last days…
Mark 13: 5 – 7- Jesus said to them…”Such things must happen, but the end is still to come”.
Mark 13: 29 – “Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that itis near, right at the door”.
Mark 13: 32 – 33 – “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come”.
Luke 21: 28 – “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near”.
One of the most significant events to come is The Rapture and although we cannot determine the length of time between now and when The Rapture occurs we can be certain that things, environmentally, economically, socially and politically will continue to get worse and progress towards global government and global religion will accelerate.
Matthew 24: 7 – 14 – “There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains…. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come”.
Luke 21: 25 – 26 – “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken”.
